Zuzka is a licensed guide for all nine provinces of South Africa. She has lived in the country for around 27 years and accompanies Eco-Trails clients in person.
Professional qualification is an important foundation for her work, but her many years of everyday experience with the local environment matter just as much. Combining the two helps her put together trips that suit the specific route, the season, the pace and the clients' interests.
What this means for your trip
Knowledge of individual regions helps with choosing the route, sequencing the programme and planning transfers sensibly. Local experience makes it easier to navigate practical conditions and to respond to situations that can change along the way.
A guiding qualification also means being able to place the places you visit in a wider context — from landscape and nature to history and everyday life. It's not just about moving between well-known points, but about a clearly guided trip with someone who has known the area for a long time.
